We are delighted to announce that in November at Ikal, we will have the great privilege to host our first Contact Beyond Contact Dance facilitators training courses Level 1 & 2 with UNITY SPACE.
Dance is a social and integrative practice that connects people.
Everybody can dance and facilitate a dance event. It is a healing practice accessible to all. Contact Beyond Contact (CBC) is a dance and healing practice which combines Authentic Movement (AM), Contact Improvisation (CI) and Passing Through (PT) with other profound practices such as Qi Gong, Yoga, energy work, mindfulness and leadership skills. CBC also includes principles of psychology and behaviorism, as well as the philosophies of Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism. These practices are well-woven together to create a holistic integration of the Body, Mind, Heart and Spirit.
The CBC facilitator’s main focus is to hold space by creating a safe environment in which participants can integrate, transform and heal their body, mind, heart and spirit, while having their personal boundaries honored.
UNITY SPACE’s mission is to train CBC facilitators to spread the Contact Beyond Contact Dance and healing practice to the whole world to boost authentic human connection: for individual, relationship and group healing. Their vision is to establish conscious dance and healing practices as important tools for authentic human connection, healing and evolution.
These special courses will take place on the 12th - 17th & 19th - 24th of November.
Level 1 | Foundations: Focuses on the Body for a coherent embodied experience and explores behaviors of Exploration and Orientation.
Level 2 | Intermediate: Focuses on the Mind for a coherent Mindful experience and explores behaviors of Rejection and Incorporation.

After completion of all four levels, participants will be able to teach the Foundations Level 1 as well as choose to delve deeper into the practice and join an Advanced Teachers Training Course.
